I’ve done a fair bit of work in Adobe InDesign as well as it’s open source equivalent, Scribus.

This has included instructional manuals, job aids, brochures.
These images are taken from a monthly newsletter produced for a local professional society in collaboration with my desktop publishing aficionado colleague, Brian Reyman.
While desktop publishing tools are powerful and output elegant print materials, they can be labor intensive, costly to license, and difficult to learn.
To get around this in the past, I’ve set up systems to automatically convert Microsoft Word to XML to Adobe InDesign, achieving the best of both worlds in efficiency and aesthetics.
